- Deliver engaging instruction to small groups of approximately 3–10 (max) students.
- Implement structured lesson plans and intervention materials with fidelity.
- Build positive relationships that encourage student engagement and confidence.
- Monitor student understanding and adjust instructional support as needed.

- Support both in-school and after-school academic programs.
- Collaborate with Site Leads, campus staff, and Program Leadership to support student success.

Student Instruction:
- Facilitate high-quality tutoring sessions using Strategic Focus instructional practices.
- Deliver individualized and small-group academic support.
- Encourage student participation through engaging instructional strategies.
- Reinforce literacy and mathematics concepts using approved curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and communicate concerns or successes to leadership.
- Maintain student safety and appropriate supervision at all times.
- Assist with student arrival, dismissal, attendance, and transitions.
- Maintain awareness of student whereabouts through consistent headcounts.
- Promote positive student behavior and respectful classroom culture.
- Complete attendance and required program documentation accurately and on time.
- Submit tutoring records and sign-in sheets according to program requirements.
- Collect a minimum of three student work samples each week.
- Support progress monitoring and program evaluation efforts.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Follow all Strategic Focus and partner district policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism with students, families, school personnel, and colleagues.
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and coaching sessions.
- Perform additional duties that support successful program implementation.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
- Reliable transportation to assigned campuses.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- College coursework or degree in Education or a related field.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, childcare, or youth development experience.
- Experience working in K–12 educational settings.
- Knowledge of literacy and/or mathematics instruction.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Believes every student can succeed.
